Food for Thought

This is seriously something to think about.
Very possibly we all have been one of them at a point in life,
and it's cause to check our hearts and see where we are at in life and not let any root take hold of us. If we're around any people at all we're bound to face situations like this where we need to look at it from God's perspective, get ourselves out of the way and allow God free reign to work out His will even if He has to use us to do it. Sad to say, I've been in the way too many times and messed up God's perfect plan and had to pay for it. Or I have been one of them and thats a very sad place to be and it can get very hard to get out of that place.
A scripture that came to my mind as I thought of this is...
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
James 3:17
Thats beautiful!!

One of God's Great Don'ts

It is one thing to say "Fret not," but a very different thing to have such a disposition that you find yourself not to fret. It sounds so easy to talk about "resting in the Lord" and "waiting patiently for Him" until the nest is upset--until we live, as so many are doing, in tumult and anguish;is it possible then to rest in the Lord? If this "don't" does not work there, it will work nowhere. This "don't" must work in days of perplexities as well as in days of peace, or it will never work. And if it will not work in your particular case, it will not work in anyone else's case. Resting in the Lord does not depend on external circumstances at all, but on your relationship to God Himself....
Fretting springs from a determination to get our own way. Our Lord never worried and He was never anxious, because He was not "out" to realize His own ideas; He was "out" to realize God's ideas. Fretting is wicked if you are a child of God.
Have you been bolstering up that stupid idea that your circumstances are too much for God? Put all "supposing" on one side and dwell in the shadow of the Almighty. Deliberately tell God that you will not fret about that thing. All our fret and worry is caused by calculating without God.
By Utmost

Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. Do we believe that? I need to work on that!
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not Fret....
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret--it only causes harm.    Psalm37:5,7,8

I needed this message, I tend to worry about many things I have no control over, and then I worry because I worry and I know I'm not resting in God. Praise the Lord i have the whole Trinity behind me and I shall come through, I know He is fighting for me.

I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go (+playlist)

I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go

It may not be on the mountain height,
Or over the stormy sea,
It may not be at the battle's front,
My Lord will have need of me.
But if by a still, small voice He calls,
To paths I do not know.
I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in Thine,
I'll go where you want me to go.

I'll go where you want me to go, dear Lord,
Over mountain, or plain, or sea
I'll say what you want me to say, dear Lord,
I'll be what you want me to be.

Perhaps today there are loving words
Which Jesus would have me speak,
There may be now in the paths of sin,
Some wanderer whom I should seek.
O Saviour, if Thou wilt be my guide,
Though dark and rugged the way,
My voice shall echo Thy message so sweet,
I'll say what you want me to say.

There's surely somewhere a lowly place,
In earth's harvests fields so white,
Where I may labor through life's short day,
For Jesus, the Crucified.
So trusting my all to Thy tender care,
And knowing Thou lovest me,
I'll do Thy will with a heart sincere,
I'll be what you want me to be.

My prayer this morning as I spent time with my Lord,
May this song bless you with a sincere longing to be
willing and ready to be what He wants you to be.
God bless you all, my dear friends, let us strive higher.
